If you are driving a car, start from Jomsom, the main hub of Mustang. Head east on the Jomsom-Surkhang road (also known as the Mustang Highway). After approximately 12 kilometers, you will reach Surkhang. Look for the signs pointing towards the Cave monastery. Park your vehicle at the designated parking area in Surkhang and walk towards the monastery, which is about a 10-minute hike uphill.

From Jomsom, take a local bus heading towards Surkhang. The bus ride should take around 30-40 minutes, depending on road conditions. Once you arrive at Surkhang, you will need to get off at the main bus stop. From there, follow the signs to the Cave monastery, which is a short 10-minute uphill walk from the bus stop. Make sure to check the bus schedule in advance, as services may vary.

You can also hire a taxi from Jomsom to Surkhang for a more direct and comfortable ride. The fare can range from NPR 1500 to NPR 2500, depending on negotiation and vehicle type. The drive takes approximately 30 minutes. Upon reaching Surkhang, walk for about 10 minutes uphill to the Cave monastery.
