Getting There

Car
If you are traveling by car from Jomsom, head north along the Kali Gandaki River. Follow the road signs towards Muktinath, and then take a right turn towards the village of Surkhang. Continue on this road for about 20 km until you reach the vicinity of Damodar Kunda. Park your vehicle at a safe spot in Surkhang and proceed on foot, as the last stretch requires a short trek to reach the Kunda.

From Jomsom, you can take a shared jeep to Muktinath. Inform the driver that you want to get off at Surkhang. The jeep ride takes approximately 1-2 hours depending on road conditions. Once you reach Surkhang, you will need to walk for about 1-2 hours to reach Damodar Kunda. Follow the local trails leading towards the Kunda, and ask locals for directions if needed.
