Walking
From your current location in Nagarkot, head towards the main road leading to Bhaktapur. Follow this road for approximately 1.5 kilometers until you reach the intersection with the road toward Kathmandu. Turn left onto the road toward Kathmandu. Continue walking for about 15 kilometers, which will take you through beautiful landscapes and local villages. After about a 3-hour walk, you will arrive at the Boudhanath Stupa, located on Boudha Sadak in Kathmandu.
Local Bus
Walk to the nearest local bus station in Nagarkot. Board a bus heading to Bhaktapur. The journey should take about 30-45 minutes. Once you arrive in Bhaktapur, look for the bus heading to Kathmandu. This leg of the journey will take around 1 hour. After reaching Kathmandu, ask the bus driver or locals for directions to Boudhanath Stupa. It's a 10-15 minute walk from the bus stop to the stupa.
Hiking
If you're feeling adventurous, you can hike from Nagarkot to Boudhanath. Start your hike by heading down the trail toward the valley. Follow the marked paths through the forests and fields. This route will take you through scenic viewpoints and local villages. The hike is approximately 15 kilometers and can take about 5-6 hours, depending on your pace. Make sure to carry water and snacks for the journey. Once you reach the outskirts of Kathmandu, make your way towards Boudha Sadak, where the stupa is located.
