Getting There

Walking
Start at the main viewpoint in Nagarkot, which is often referred to as 'Nagarkot View Tower'. From there, walk back towards the main road and head downhill. Continue walking straight until you reach the junction at the Nagarkot bus park. At the junction, take a left turn and walk for about 15-20 minutes towards the main road leading to Bhaktapur. Keep an eye out for signs indicating the direction to Kathmandu. After about 30 minutes of walking, you will reach the bus stop where you can catch a local bus or microbus heading to Kathmandu.

Local Bus
From the bus park in Nagarkot, catch a local bus heading towards Bhaktapur. The bus ride will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you reach Bhaktapur, get off at the main bus station. From there, you need to take another bus heading to Kathmandu. Make sure to ask the bus conductor to drop you off near Lainchour Marg. The entire journey should take around 1.5 to 2 hours.

Trekking
If you enjoy hiking, you can trek from Nagarkot to Kathmandu. Start your trek by heading downhill towards the village of Changu Narayan, which is known for its ancient temple. This trek will take around 4-5 hours. Once you reach Changu Narayan, you can catch a local bus from there to Kathmandu. The bus will take you to Lainchour Marg, which is very close to the British Embassy.
