Walking
From the main square in Nagarkot, head south towards the main road (Nagarkot - Bhaktapur Road). After about 5 minutes of walking, you will reach the intersection where the road connects with the main highway. Turn right and follow the road, which will gradually descend towards Bhaktapur. Continue walking for about 30-40 minutes, and you will arrive at the town of Bhaktapur. From Bhaktapur, catch a local bus or find a taxi to take you to Boudhha in Kathmandu, which should take approximately 30-45 minutes.
Local Bus
To take a local bus, start from the main square in Nagarkot and walk to the nearest bus stop, which is about a 5-minute walk. Look for buses heading towards Bhaktapur or Kathmandu. Once you board the bus, it will take you on a scenic route down the hill and into Bhaktapur. The bus ride will take approximately 30-40 minutes. When you arrive at Bhaktapur, transfer to another bus that goes to Kathmandu, specifically to the Boudhha area. This leg of the journey should take around 30-45 minutes.
Trekking
For adventure seekers, consider trekking from Nagarkot to Boudhha. From the main square, follow the path leading down the hill, passing through local villages and terraced fields. The trek is about 11 kilometers and will take approximately 3-4 hours, depending on your pace. Make sure to carry water and snacks. Follow the trail to Bhaktapur, and upon reaching the town, you can either take a local bus or walk to Boudhha, which is a further 10-15 minutes away.
