Walking
From the center of Nagarkot, head west towards the main road. Follow the path leading towards Bhaktapur. You will pass through local settlements and enjoy scenic views along the way. Continue walking for approximately 8-10 kilometers. As you approach Bhaktapur, look for signs directing you toward Taumadhi Square. Upon reaching Taumadhi Square, you will see the impressive Nyatapola Temple directly ahead.
Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Nagarkot. Starting from the main square in Nagarkot, head northwest towards the main road. Follow this road for about 8 kilometers, enjoying the beautiful surrounding landscapes. Once you enter Bhaktapur, keep an eye out for Taumadhi Square signs. You can easily park your bicycle near the square, where Nyatapola Temple is located.
Hiking
For the adventurous, take the hiking trail that leads from Nagarkot towards Bhaktapur. The trail starts near the local view tower in Nagarkot. Follow the marked trail down the hills, which will lead you through lush forests and small villages. After about 6-7 kilometers, you will connect to the road leading into Bhaktapur. Continue along this path until you arrive at Taumadhi Square, where you can find Nyatapola Temple.
