From the center of Namche Bazaar, head towards the main trail leading to the Khumbu region. You will find the trail just past the Yak cheese factory, which is a well-known landmark. Follow the trail that leads uphill towards Tengboche. After about 1 hour of walking, you will reach the village of Khumjung. As you approach Khumjung, keep an eye out for the stunning views of the surrounding Himalayas. Gokyo is located within the Khumjung area, so once you enter Khumjung, continue to follow local signs pointing towards Gokyo.
