Walking
Start from Patan Durbar Square, which is a central location in Patan. Head southeast on Maharajgunj Road for about 600 meters until you reach the intersection with Pulchowk Road. Turn left onto Pulchowk Road and continue for approximately 1.5 kilometers. You will pass by several local shops and cafes. After reaching the Godawari area, look for signs leading to Phulchowki. Follow the trail signs to reach the starting point of the hike.
Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from one of the shops near Patan Durbar Square. Begin your ride by heading southeast on Maharajgunj Road. After about 600 meters, take a left onto Pulchowk Road. Continue cycling straight for about 1.5 kilometers. Be cautious of traffic and stay on the designated bike lanes where available. Once you reach the Godawari area, look for trail signs indicating the path to Phulchowki. Park your bicycle at the designated area before starting your hike.
Public Transportation (Microbus)
From Patan Durbar Square, walk to the nearest microbus station. Look for a microbus heading towards Godawari. The fare is usually quite affordable. Inform the driver that you want to go to Godawari. Once you arrive in Godawari, ask locals for directions to the Phulchowki trailhead, which is a short walk from the drop-off point. Follow the signs to the trail.
