Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, you can set your GPS to the World Peace Pagoda located at coordinates 28.2008495, 83.9447894. From the center of Pokhara, head towards the Phewa Lake area and follow the signs leading to the World Peace Pagoda. You can park your car in the designated parking area at the base of the pagoda. Be prepared for a short hike of around 30 minutes uphill, where you'll need to climb approximately 200-250 steps to reach the pagoda. The entrance to the steps is well-marked.

• Public Transportation (Local Bus)

  To reach the World Peace Pagoda using public transportation, you can take a local bus from the Pokhara Bus Station. Look for buses heading towards the 'Shanti Stupa' or 'World Peace Pagoda'. The fare is typically around NPR 30-50. Inform the driver of your destination, and they will drop you off at the closest point to the base of the pagoda. From there, you will need to walk and climb approximately 200-250 steps to reach the pagoda. The hike takes about 30 minutes.

• Taxi

  Another option is to hire a taxi from anywhere in Pokhara. Agree on the fare beforehand, which may range from NPR 500-1000 depending on your starting point. The taxi will take you to the nearest road to the World Peace Pagoda. You will then need to walk uphill and climb about 200-250 steps to reach the pagoda. Make sure to ask the driver to drop you off at the base of the steps leading to the pagoda.

• Bicycle Rental

  For the more adventurous, consider renting a bicycle from one of the local shops in Pokhara. Cycle towards the World Peace Pagoda, which is approximately a 30-minute ride from the lakeside area. Follow the road signs directing you to the pagoda. Once you arrive, you will need to park your bicycle at the base and then walk up the 200-250 steps to reach the pagoda. Be cautious of the traffic and enjoy the scenic route!
