Getting there

Walking

Start from the Lakeside area, which is the main tourist hub in Pokhara. Head east on the main street (Sedi Height) until you reach the lakeshore. Continue walking along the lakeshore until you reach the end of the lake, where you will see the signs for the Mahendra Cave. The total distance is approximately 3 kilometers and should take about 30-40 minutes. The route is scenic and you can enjoy views of the Phewa Lake along the way.

Bicycle

Rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops in the Lakeside area of Pokhara. Start by cycling east along the lakeshore road, then follow the signs for Mahendra Cave. The ride is about 3 kilometers and should take around 15-20 minutes. Be cautious of the traffic and enjoy the beautiful scenery on your way.

Local Bus

From the Lakeside area, walk to the nearest local bus station. Take a local bus heading towards Batulechaur. Inform the bus driver or conductor that you want to get off at Mahendra Cave. The bus ride is about 15 minutes. Once you get off, follow the signs leading to the cave entrance, which is a short walk from the bus stop.
