Trekking
From Rolwaling Valley, specifically from the village of Beding, start your trek towards Everest Base Camp. The trek will take you through beautiful landscapes and traditional Sherpa villages. Follow the trail that leads to the Tashi Lapsa Pass, which is the key point to connect to the Everest region. Ensure you have a map or a local guide, as the paths can be a bit tricky.
Public Transportation
If you're starting from Kathmandu, take a bus to Barabise. From Barabise, you can hire a jeep to reach the village of Gongar, which is the nearest point to start trekking towards Beding in the Rolwaling Valley. The jeep ride will take about 3-4 hours and costs approximately NPR 3000-5000 depending on the vehicle and number of passengers.
Local Guide
It is highly recommended to hire a local guide who is familiar with the Rolwaling Valley and the routes to Everest Base Camp. They can help navigate the trails and ensure your safety. Typically, a local guide will cost around NPR 2500-4000 per day, including their meals and accommodation.
Accommodation
Plan your accommodation in advance, especially in the villages along the trek. Guesthouses are available, and the cost ranges from NPR 500-1000 per night. It's advisable to stay in Beding for a day to acclimatize before heading towards Everest Base Camp.
