Car
To reach Gauri Sankar from the nearest major town, you will first need to drive to Charikot, which is approximately 7-8 hours from Kathmandu. From Charikot, take the road to Singati, where you will encounter a checkpoint. Ensure you have your permits ready, as you will need them to proceed into the Rolwaling Valley area. The road is rough, and you may encounter landslides, so drive cautiously. Once you reach Singati, park your car and proceed on foot or hire a local guide.

From Kathmandu, take a local bus or microbus to Charikot. This journey typically takes around 7-8 hours. Once in Charikot, you can find shared jeeps heading to Singati. The jeep ride will take about 1 hour. Upon reaching Singati, you will need to arrange for a local guide or porter to carry your gear and assist you on the trek to Gauri Sankar. It is advisable to set up a base in the Rolwaling Valley before attempting to reach the mountain.
