Gokyo Valley and Everest Base Camp Trek -16 days tour

An incredible experience in Nepal's Khumba region with Himalayan Wonders.

Four of us from Canada booked a trek to Everest Base Camp with the return through Cho Lo Pass and Gokyo with Himalayan Wonders (HW). We arrived in Kathmandu September 17, 2026 and flew home from KTM October 19th. We started our 15 day trek with the flight to Lukla on Sept. 30th. HW was great to work with. Even before we got to Nepal, we felt well looked after by their representative Latisha. We spent the next 14 days trekking through the stunning Sagarmatha National Park. Our HW guide, Ram Bhattari, was absolutely top-notch and I highly recommend you ask for him. Ram is very knowledgeable and experienced. He set a pace appropriate for us and kept us safe and healthy. He had lots of local knowledge and great information to help enrich our experience. A big part of our trip's success was due to Ram. Not only is he a great guide, but he is fun to be with and keeps you motivated to go on. He also never seems to tire! Our two porters, Bhim and Bhagat Rai (brothers) were also great - extremely helpful and friendly. The administrative staff of HW in Kathmandu were also very helpful. The briefing they gave us before the trek started was thorough and useful. They arranged an excellent day tour of Kathmandu for us. Our celebratory dinner when we were back in Kathmandu was nice, as were the souvenirs they gave us of our trek. Our rides to and from airports were all smooth, with one small exception (which was resolved very quickly). It is hard to book a trip like this from the other side of the world. We debated about which company to book with, as there are many options. We interviewed a few over zoom to help us decide. We do not regret at all using HW, and highly recommend them to any future trekkers. You will be well looked after and can trust their experience.
