Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start your journey from the main entrance of Shey Phoksundo National Park in the town of Suligad. Drive towards the north following the road that leads into the park. After approximately 10 kilometers, you will reach a fork in the road. Take the left path which leads towards Kaigaun. Continue driving for about 15 kilometers until you reach the village of Kaigaun. From Kaigaun, follow the signs for भृकुटी ताल. The destination will be approximately 3 kilometers further down the road, where you will find a small parking area close to the footpath leading to the lake. Make sure to check the condition of the roads, as they can vary depending on the season.

• Public Transportation

  To reach भृकुटी ताल using public transportation, start from the main bus station in Suligad. Take a local bus or jeep heading towards Kaigaun. The fare is typically around 300 NPR per person, and the journey takes about 30-45 minutes, depending on road conditions. Once you arrive in Kaigaun, you may need to ask locals for directions to the nearest drop-off point for भृकुटी ताल, which is about 3 kilometers away. From the drop-off point, you can either walk or hire a local guide to take you to the lake. Walking will take approximately 30-45 minutes.

• Hiking

  If you are already within Shey Phoksundo National Park and prefer a hiking route, you can access भृकुटी ताल by following the marked trekking trails. Starting from the main visitor area, take the trail heading north towards Kaigaun. This hike is approximately 8 kilometers and can take about 3-4 hours, depending on your pace. Be sure to carry enough water and snacks, as there are limited facilities along the way. The trail is well-marked, but it is advisable to go with a guide if you are unfamiliar with the area.
