Car
If you are traveling by car from the nearest major city, Dhangadhi, head northwest on the Mahendra Highway (H01) for about 80 km until you reach the town of Mangalsen. Once in Mangalsen, follow local signs and ask for directions to Janalibandali. The falls are located approximately 10 km from Mangalsen. Expect to pay for fuel, which may cost around NPR 2000-3000 depending on your vehicle and fuel prices.
Public Transportation
Take a bus from Dhangadhi to Mangalsen. Buses regularly depart from the Dhangadhi bus station, and the journey takes about 3-4 hours. The fare is typically around NPR 250-400. Upon arrival in Mangalsen, ask locals for the best way to reach Janali Falls. You may be able to hire a local taxi or take a motorcycle taxi (known as 'bato gari') for the remaining 10 km, which should cost around NPR 100-300.
Walking/Trekking
If you're feeling adventurous and are already in the vicinity of Mangalsen, you can trek to Janali Falls. Start from the center of Mangalsen and follow the road signs towards Janalibandali. The trek is approximately 10 km and will take about 2-3 hours depending on your pace. Ensure you wear good hiking shoes and carry water and snacks.
