Tinjure Danda: A Majestic Mountain Retreat

Getting There

• Car

  From any location in Terai, head towards the city of Biratnagar. Once you reach Biratnagar, follow the signs to the highway leading to Dharan. Continue driving for approximately 45 kilometers until you reach the town of Tamaphok. Tinjure Danda is located just outside of Tamaphok. You can park your car at a designated parking area in Tamaphok and start your trek towards Tinjure Danda, which is about a 1-2 hour hike uphill.

• Public Bus

  Catch a public bus from your current location in Terai to Biratnagar. Buses to Biratnagar are frequent and cost around NPR 200-500 depending on your starting point. Once in Biratnagar, take a local bus or a microbus heading to Dharan. After reaching Dharan, look for a bus or shared taxi to Tamaphok. The total cost for this leg of the journey will be approximately NPR 300-700. Upon arrival in Tamaphok, you will need to hike about 1-2 hours to reach Tinjure Danda.

• Taxi

  Hire a taxi from your location in Terai directly to Tamaphok. This is the most convenient option but will be more expensive, costing around NPR 3000-5000 depending on your starting point. Once in Tamaphok, you can either hike to Tinjure Danda or arrange for a local guide to assist you. The hike will take about 1-2 hours.

• Local Guide Services

  If you prefer a guided experience, consider hiring a local guide in Tamaphok. They can be found at local hotels or through travel agencies. Guide services typically cost around NPR 1500-3000 for a day, which includes hiking assistance and local insights about Tinjure Danda.
