Getting There

Car
If you're traveling by car from Jomsom, head north on the E43 road towards Kagbeni. After approximately 8 km, you will reach the junction at Kagbeni where you will need to take the road leading to Upper Mustang. Continue for about 10 km until you reach Chhusang, the village closest to Mustang Caves. Look for signs indicating the caves, or ask locals for directions to the caves, which are a short walk from the village.

Public Transportation
From Jomsom, you can take a local bus or jeep heading towards Kagbeni. The fare is around NPR 200-300. Once you reach Kagbeni, change to a local jeep or bus heading towards Upper Mustang, which will cost approximately NPR 400-600. Alight at Chhusang village. The Mustang Caves are a short trek from Chhusang; follow the trails leading towards the steep valley walls near the Kali Gandaki River. Local guides are often available for hire if you prefer assistance.
