Getting there

Car

If you are driving from Achterhoek, take the A1 highway heading west. Merge onto the A12 at junction 18 towards Utrecht. Continue on the A12 for about 80 km, then take exit 17-Utrecht-Centrum. Follow the signs for Centrum and continue onto the Vredenburg. You will see the Dom Tower in the distance. There are several parking options available nearby, including Q-park at Vredenburg (address: Vredenburg 30, 3511 BC Utrecht). Parking fees may apply, typically around €2.50 per hour.

Train

For public transportation, take a train from any station in Achterhoek to Utrecht Central Station. Depending on your starting point, there may be a change required, typically at either Arnhem or Amersfoort. The journey takes about 1.5 to 2 hours. After arriving at Utrecht Central Station, exit the station and follow the signs to the Dom Tower. It is about a 15-minute walk (1.2 km) from the station. You can also take bus line 2 or 3 from the station to the Domplein, which is the stop nearest to the tower.

Bus

Alternatively, if you are already in Utrecht and prefer to use the bus, you can take bus line 2 or 3 from various locations in the city. The buses run frequently, and you can check the local schedule for exact timings. Get off at the Domplein stop, which is right next to the Dom Tower. A single bus fare is approximately €3.50.
