Car
From any location in Achterhoek, head towards the A1 motorway. Follow the A1 towards Amsterdam. Once you are on the A1, continue for approximately 130 kilometers. Take exit 14 towards Amsterdam-Centrum and merge onto S112. Follow the S112 for about 5 kilometers, and then take a right onto Amstel. Continue straight until you reach Skinny Bridge (Magere Brug) located at 1018 DS Amsterdam. There is usually street parking available nearby, but be prepared for possible parking fees.
Public Transportation
If you're taking public transport, first make your way to the nearest train station in Achterhoek (e.g., in Doetinchem). Board a train heading to Amsterdam Central Station. Once you arrive at Amsterdam Central Station, exit the station and take tram line 14 towards the 'Zeeburgerdijk' stop. Get off at the 'Muntplein' stop. From there, it’s about a 15-minute walk to Skinny Bridge. Head southeast on Muntplein, continue onto Reguliersbreestraat, and take a left onto Amstel. Follow the road until you reach the bridge. Keep in mind that train and tram tickets will incur costs, typically around €10-€20 for a round trip depending on your starting location.
