If you are driving from any location within Achterhoek, head towards the A1 motorway. Follow the signs for Amsterdam. Once on the A1, continue until you reach the A10 ring road around Amsterdam. Take exit 14 towards S112/Amsterdam-Centrum. Follow the signs for the city center and then for the Scheepvaartmuseum. There is a parking facility near the museum, but be aware that parking fees apply, typically around €5 per hour.

To reach The king's sloop via public transportation, you can take a train from any station in Achterhoek to Amsterdam Central Station. Train services are frequent and the journey usually takes about 1.5 to 2 hours. Once you arrive at Amsterdam Central Station, exit towards the front of the station and catch tram line 26 towards 'North.' Get off at the 'Kattenburgerstraat' stop which is a short walk from the maritime museum where The king's sloop is located. The tram fare is approximately €3 for a single journey.
