Public Transport
From Amersfoort Central Station, take the train to Amsterdam Central Station. The journey takes approximately 30-35 minutes. Once you arrive at Amsterdam Central Station, exit the station and head towards the main street, Damrak. Follow the signs for the tram station. Take Tram 2 or Tram 12 towards the direction of the Rijksmuseum. Get off at the 'Westermarkt' stop. From there, Descartes House is a short walk away. Head towards Westermarkt and look for number 6.
Walking
If you are near the city center of Amersfoort, you can start your journey by walking to the nearest bus stop or tram station. Take bus line 3 or 6 towards the train station, then transfer to the train to Amsterdam Central Station as mentioned above. After reaching Amsterdam Central Station, follow the instructions provided for public transport to get to Descartes House.
Bicycle
For those who prefer cycling, you can rent a bike in Amersfoort. Head towards the designated bike paths leading to Amsterdam. The ride is approximately 40 km and will take around 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on your speed. Once you arrive in Amsterdam, navigate to the city center and cycle towards Westermarkt. Look for Westermarkt 6, which is where Descartes House is located.
