Walking
From the center of Amersfoort, head towards the Amersfoort train station located at Stationsplein 1. Once you arrive at the station, purchase a train ticket to Edam. Please note that you will need to take a train to either Amsterdam or Hoorn and then transfer to a bus to reach Edam, as there is no direct train to Edam. After purchasing your ticket, board the train heading towards Amsterdam Centraal. This journey will take approximately 20 minutes. Disembark at Amsterdam Centraal Station.
Bus
Once you arrive at Amsterdam Centraal, follow the signs to the bus terminal located outside the station. Look for the bus services to Edam. You can take bus number 316 or any other bus heading to Edam. The bus ride will take about 30 minutes. Make sure to check the bus schedule for the next departure and confirm the destination on the bus before boarding.
Walking
After arriving in Edam, disembark at the main bus stop in the town center. From there, you can easily explore Edam by foot. The town is small and pedestrian-friendly. Follow signs or ask locals for directions to the main attractions, which are usually within a 10-15 minute walk from the bus stop.
