Walking
If you are in the center of Amersfoort, head towards the Amersfoort train station. From the station, take Bus 70 towards Edam, which departs regularly. Once you arrive at Edam, disembark at the 'Edam, Centrum' stop. From there, walk straight along the main road (Oude Zijds) for about 10 minutes until you reach Jan Nieuwenhuizenplein. The Edam Cheese Market will be located right at the square, and you should see the attractions set up for the market.
Bicycle
Rent a bicycle in Amersfoort and head northwest towards Edam. Follow the designated bike paths through the scenic countryside. The distance is approximately 20 kilometers. Once you arrive in Edam, park your bike at one of the bike racks near Jan Nieuwenhuizenplein. The Edam Cheese Market will be directly in front of you at the square.
Train and Bus
From Amersfoort, take a train to Hoorn. At Hoorn station, transfer to Bus 106 towards Edam. This bus will take you directly to Edam. Once you arrive at the 'Edam, Centrum' stop, walk towards Jan Nieuwenhuizenplein which is just a short 5-minute walk away. The Edam Cheese Market is located right at the square.
