Walking
To reach IJpromenade in Amsterdam from the center of Amersfoort, start at the Amersfoort train station. Exit the station and head towards the bus station located right outside. Take bus line 100 or 200 towards Amsterdam. The journey will take approximately 45 minutes. Once you arrive at Amsterdam Station (Amsterdam Centraal), exit the bus and follow the signs to the train station. From there, head towards the ferry terminal located near the station's rear exit. Board the free ferry to Amsterdam-Noord. After disembarking, walk straight ahead for about 10 minutes along the waterfront until you reach IJpromenade.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the rental shops near Amersfoort train station. From the station, cycle west towards the Amersfoort city center and then take the bike paths leading to the main roads. Follow signs towards the A1 highway. Once near Amsterdam, follow the bike lanes leading into the city. Upon reaching Amsterdam, continue towards the IJpromenade, which is easily accessible via bike paths along the waterfront.
