Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Amersfoort, head southwest towards the Langestraat. Continue straight until you reach the junction with the Westsingel. Turn right on Westsingel and follow it until you reach the train station (Amersfoort Centraal). Once at the station, take a train towards Arnhem. After about 20 minutes, get off at the station called 'Oosterbeek'. From there, you can take bus line 5 towards 'Renkum' and get off at the 'Ooij' stop. From the bus stop, it is a short walk to the Ooijpolder nature preserve.

  • Bicycle

    Rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops in Amersfoort. Once you have your bike, head northwest towards the Randenbroekerweg. Follow this road out of the city until you reach the N225. Turn left onto the N225 and continue cycling for about 6 kilometers. This will lead you directly to the Ooijpolder. Look for signs indicating the nature preserve.

  • Public Transport

    From Amersfoort, walk to the train station (Amersfoort Centraal). Board a train towards Arnhem, which typically runs every half hour. After approximately 20 minutes, get off at the 'Oosterbeek' station. From there, catch bus line 5 towards 'Renkum' and disembark at the 'Ooij' stop. The Ooijpolder nature preserve is a short walk from the bus stop.
