From the center of Amersfoort, head towards the Amersfoort train station. Once at the station, you can take a train to Gouda. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. After arriving at Gouda station, exit the station and turn right onto Stationsplein. Continue walking straight for about 10 minutes until you reach the town center. Look for signs directing you to Turfmarkt, which is a well-known square in Gouda. You will know you are approaching when you see the beautiful buildings and shops lining the streets.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike in Amersfoort. Start by heading towards the 'Muurhuizen' area and follow the signs for the cycling paths towards Gouda. The route is approximately 24 kilometers and takes about 1.5 hours. Follow the path that runs along the N227 road, which will lead you directly to Gouda. Once you reach Gouda, navigate towards the center, and look for Turfmarkt, which is easily recognizable.

To get to Gouda using public transport, start at the Amersfoort train station. Purchase a ticket to Gouda at the ticket machines or service desk. Take the intercity train towards Utrecht and transfer at Utrecht Central Station. From Utrecht, catch a direct train to Gouda. The total travel time will be around 50 minutes. Upon arrival at Gouda station, follow the signs to the exit and make your way to Turfmarkt, which is about a 10-minute walk from the station.
