Getting There

Walking
From the Amersfoort Central Station, exit the station and head towards the bus terminal. Look for bus line 2 heading towards 'Vathorst'. After about 10 minutes, get off at the 'Vathorst' stop. From there, walk to the nearest bus stop called 'Station Vathorst'. Catch bus line 201 towards 'Amersfoort, De Koppel'. Alight at 'Amersfoort, De Koppel' stop. From here, walk straight for about 15 minutes until you reach the Amersfoort city center. Keep walking until you see the iconic Koppelpoort gate. Once you pass through the gate, you will find yourself in the old town area. Keep walking straight, and you should see the Van Gogh Museum sign shortly after.

Start at Amersfoort Central Station. Purchase a train ticket to Amsterdam Central Station. The train journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Amsterdam Central Station, follow the signs to the Metro station and take Metro line 52 towards 'Noorderpark'. After 4 stops, get off at 'Zuid' station. From there, follow the signs to the exit and head towards the Museumplein. The Van Gogh Museum is located at Museumplein 6, which is about a 10-minute walk from the station. Follow the signs for the museum, and you will easily find your way.

If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the rental shops near Amersfoort Central Station. Head out of the station and cycle towards the city center. Follow the signs for the 'Fietspad' (bicycle path) towards Amsterdam. The bike ride will take approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. Once you arrive in Amsterdam, head towards the Museumplein area by following the bike lane signs. The Van Gogh Museum is at Museumplein 6, easily accessible by bike.
