Getting There

Tram
If you are near Amsterdam Central Station, take tram line 9 towards Diemen Sniep. Stay on the tram for about 10 minutes and get off at the 'Artis' stop. From there, walk back towards the intersection and turn left onto Plantage Middenlaan. Continue walking for about 5 minutes, and you will see the entrance to Hortus Botanicus on your right.

Bus
From Amsterdam Central Station, you can also catch bus line 22 towards 'Amstelstation'. Get off at the 'Plantage Kerklaan' stop. Once you exit the bus, walk straight down Plantage Kerklaan, which will turn into Plantage Middenlaan after a few minutes. Hortus Botanicus will be on your left after about 10 minutes of walking.

Walking
If you are located in the city center, you can easily walk to Hortus Botanicus. Start at Dam Square, head east towards the Rokin and continue straight onto the Amstel river. Cross the bridge, then take a left onto Plantage Middenlaan. Follow this street for about 15-20 minutes, and you will find Hortus Botanicus on your left.

Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops in Amsterdam. Head towards the Plantage area by cycling east from the city center. Follow the signs towards Artis Zoo, and once you reach the zoo, continue straight to Plantage Middenlaan. You will find Hortus Botanicus on your right. There are bike racks available for parking.
