Train
From Amsterdam Central Station, take the Intercity train towards Leiden. The journey takes approximately 35 minutes. Once you arrive at Leiden Centraal Station, exit the station and head towards the main street, Stationsweg. Walk straight until you reach the intersection with Breestraat. Turn left on Breestraat and continue walking until you reach the next intersection. Take a right onto the street called 'Oude Singel'. Follow it as it curves until you reach Beschuitsteeg. The Leiden American Pilgrim Museum will be on your left at Beschuitsteeg 9.
Bus
From Amsterdam Central Station, take bus number 69 towards 'Leiden Centraal'. The bus ride takes about 50 minutes. Get off at the 'Leiden Centraal' bus stop. After getting off, navigate to the main entrance of the train station. Then, follow the same directions provided for the train: exit the station and head towards Stationsweg, turn left on Breestraat, then right onto Oude Singel, and follow it to Beschuitsteeg. The museum will be on your left.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle in Amsterdam. Follow the signs towards the 'Rijksmuseum' and 'Vondelpark' to get onto the bike paths leading out of the city. Continue cycling southwards towards Leiden, a distance of about 40 kilometers. The route is scenic and mainly flat. Upon arriving in Leiden, head towards the city center. Look for Beschuitsteeg, where the Leiden American Pilgrim Museum is located at number 9.
Taxi or Rideshare
If you prefer a more direct and comfortable option, you can take a taxi or use a rideshare app like Uber. Simply input 'Beschuitsteeg 9, Leiden' as your destination. The drive will take around 40 minutes, depending on traffic. The driver will drop you off directly in front of the museum.
