Train
If you're in Amsterdam, head to Amsterdam Centraal Station. From there, take a train to Hoorn. The train ride takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Hoorn Station, exit the station and head towards the main road, 'Stationsweg'. Turn left on 'Stationsweg' and walk straight until you reach the first intersection. Turn right onto 'Zuiddijk' and continue walking until you reach 'Van Dedemstraat'. Turn left, and walk for about 5 minutes. The Museum Hoorn-Medemblik will be on your right at Van Dedemstraat 8.
Bus
From Amsterdam, you can take Bus 316 from the 'Amsterdam Bijlmer Arena' station. This bus goes directly to Hoorn and takes about 50 minutes. Once you arrive at the Hoorn bus stop, head towards 'Hollandsche Tuin'. From there, walk down 'Hollandsche Tuin' and turn onto 'Van Dedemstraat'. The museum is located at Van Dedemstraat 8, just a short walk ahead.
Bicycle
If you prefer to cycle, you can rent a bike in Amsterdam. Head north towards the 'IJ' waterfront and follow the 'North Sea Canal' path. This route will take you through beautiful Dutch landscapes. It's about a 40-minute ride to Hoorn. Once you arrive in Hoorn, follow the signs to the city center, and then navigate to 'Van Dedemstraat' where the Museum Hoorn-Medemblik is located.
Walking Tour
If you're in Hoorn already, you can explore the area on foot. Start at the Hoorn train station and head east on 'Stationsweg'. Follow this road until you reach 'Zuiddijk', then turn right. Continue straight until you reach 'Van Dedemstraat'. The museum is located at Van Dedemstraat 8. Enjoy the local sights along the way!
