From Amsterdam, you can also take a direct bus to Utrecht. Check the schedules for buses leaving from Amsterdam Sloterdijk or Amsterdam Bijlmer Arena. The bus ride usually takes about 45 minutes. Once you arrive at the Utrecht bus station, walk towards Utrecht Central Station.

If you are near a tram stop in Amsterdam, you can take tram line 2 or 12 that heads towards Amsterdam Central Station. From there, transfer to a train heading to Utrecht Central Station as described above.

For the adventurous, consider renting a bicycle in Amsterdam. You can cycle along the scenic paths towards Utrecht, which is about 45 minutes to an hour away, depending on your speed. Follow the signs to Utrecht, keeping the canals on your left.

Once you arrive at Utrecht Central Station, exit the station and head towards the city center. Walk straight down Vredenburg, which turns into Steenweg after a few minutes. Continue walking straight until you reach Steenweg 6, where the Museum Speelklok is located.
