Train
From Amsterdam Central Station, take a train towards Leiden. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Leiden Central Station, exit the station and head towards the bus terminal. Look for bus line 43 or 45 which will take you directly to Naturalis Biodiversity Center. Get off at the 'Naturalis' bus stop. The center will be a short walk from there, following the signs.
Bus
If you are already in a nearby area like Amsterdam Zuid, take bus line 197 towards Schiphol Airport. Get off at the 'Zuid' stop and transfer to a train heading to Leiden. After arriving at Leiden Central Station, follow the instructions for the train option to reach the Naturalis Biodiversity Center.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike in Amsterdam. Head south towards the Amstel River and follow the signs to the 'N205' route towards Leiden. The ride is approximately 35 kilometers and will take about 1.5 hours. Make sure to follow the bike paths and enjoy the scenic route. Once you reach Leiden, navigate to Darwinweg 2 where Naturalis is located.
Walking from Leiden Central Station
If you choose to walk from Leiden Central Station, exit the station and head southwest on Stationsweg. Continue straight until you reach the crossroads with the Darwinweg. Turn left onto Darwinweg, and you will find the Naturalis Biodiversity Center at number 2. The walk will take approximately 25 minutes.
