From Amsterdam Central Station, take a train to Hoorn. Trains to Hoorn run frequently, approximately every 30 minutes. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Hoorn Station, follow the signs towards the exit. Make sure to check the train schedule for the exact times of departure.

Walking from Hoorn Station
After exiting Hoorn Station, turn left onto Stationweg. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Hoofdstraat. Turn right onto Hoofdstraat and walk straight for about 10 minutes. You will pass shops and cafes along the way. When you reach the square, look for Roode Steen. The Westfriesmuseum is located at Roode Steen 1, right at the square.

Alternatively, from Amsterdam Central Station, you can take a bus to Hoorn. Check for bus routes that go to Hoorn and board the correct bus. The bus ride may take about 45 minutes to 1 hour depending on traffic. Once you arrive in Hoorn, you can follow the same walking directions from Hoorn Station to the Westfriesmuseum.
