Getting There

  • Walking

    From the heart of Oud-Zuid, head north on Van Baerlestraat towards the Museumplein. This should take around 15 minutes on foot. At Museumplein, you can see the iconic I Amsterdam letters. Continue walking towards the north through the street called Stadhouderskade until you reach the intersection with the Amstel River. Cross the bridge over the Amstel and continue straight until you reach Muntplein.

    Alternatively, you can take the tram from Oud-Zuid to get to Munttoren. Board tram line 2 or 12 from the Van Baerlestraat tram stop and disembark at the Muntplein tram stop. The journey takes about 10 minutes. Once you exit the tram, Munttoren will be right in front of you at Muntplein 12/14.
