From Amsterdam, take the A1 highway east towards Amersfoort. Continue on the A28 highway north towards Zwolle. Take exit 22 towards Steenwijk and follow the signs to Giethoorn.

Public Transportation

From Amsterdam Central Station, take a train to Steenwijk. From Steenwijk, you can take a bus or taxi to Giethoorn. The bus ride takes approximately 30 minutes and drops you off near the center of Giethoorn.
