Getting There

  • Public Transport

    From Haarlem Central Station, take the train towards The Hague (Den Haag). The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at The Hague Central Station, exit the station and follow the signs to the tram stop. Take tram number 9 towards Scheveningen Noorderstrand. Stay on the tram for about 15 minutes and get off at the 'Kurhaus' stop. From there, it's a 10-minute walk to museum Beelden aan Zee. Head east on Gevers Deynootweg, turn right onto Harteveltstraat, and the museum will be on your left.

  • Bicycle

    If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike in Haarlem. Head south on the Spaarne River towards the city of The Hague. The ride is approximately 20 km and will take around 1 hour and 15 minutes. Follow the bike paths that lead you through the scenic countryside and into The Hague. Once you arrive in The Hague, follow the signs to the beach area of Scheveningen, and continue until you reach Harteveltstraat. The museum will be located at Harteveltstraat 1.

    Walking from central Haarlem to museum Beelden aan Zee is quite a long journey, approximately 30 km, which would take about 6-7 hours.
