Turn right onto Bakenessergracht and walk for about 10 minutes until you reach Haarlem's train station (Haarlem Centraal). From there, take a train to Den Haag. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Den Haag Centraal, exit the station and follow signs for the tram. Take tram line 1 or 17 towards the direction of Scheveningen. Get off at the 'Korte Voorhout' stop. From the tram stop, walk a short distance down 'Korte Voorhout' and take a left onto 'Lange Voorhout'. The Thorbecke Monument will be on your right.

    If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle in Haarlem. Start from the city center and head south towards the Spaarne river.
