Symbiobrug: A Marvel of Modern Engineering in Delft

Getting There

• Walking

  If you are in the center of Haarlem, start at the Haarlem Train Station (Haarlem CS). Exit the station and walk towards the main square (Grote Markt). From the square, head southeast on the Grote Houtstraat street. Continue straight for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the intersection with the N208 road. Turn left onto the N208 and follow it for another 1.5 kilometers until you see signs for Delft. Cross the bridge over the canal and continue straight until you reach the Thijsseweg. The Symbiobrug will be on your right at Thijsseweg 11.

• Bicycle

  To visit the Symbiobrug from the center of Haarlem, you can rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops. Start at the Haarlem Train Station (Haarlem CS) and head southeast on the Grote Houtstraat. Continue straight for approximately 1.5 kilometers. When you reach the intersection with the N208 road, turn left. Follow the N208 for about 1.5 kilometers, crossing the canal bridge. Look for the Thijsseweg sign, and the Symbiobrug will be located on your right at Thijsseweg 11.

• Public Transport

  If you prefer public transport, start at Haarlem Train Station (Haarlem CS). Take a train towards Delft from the station. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Delft Train Station, exit the station and head towards the bus stop located just outside. Take bus line 40 towards 'Bovenburen' and get off at the stop called 'Thijsseweg'. From there, walk a short distance down Thijsseweg, and you will find the Symbiobrug at Thijsseweg 11.
