Walking
If you are in the city center of Delft, start by heading towards the Markt square, which is a well-known landmark. From the Markt, walk towards the northwest on the Brabantse Turfmarkt street. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with the Voldersgracht canal. Turn left onto Voldersgracht and walk alongside the canal. After about 10 minutes of walking, you will come to the train station. From there, take the train to Leiden. The journey takes approximately 15-20 minutes. Once you arrive at Leiden station, exit the station and head towards the bus stop outside. Take bus line 43 or 44 towards 'Leiden, Hooglandse Kerk'. Get off at the stop 'Leiden, Hooglandse Kerk'. You will find Hooglandse Kerk located at Nieuwstraat 20, just a short walk from the bus stop.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, start at the center of Delft and rent a bike from one of the local bike rental services. Head towards the west on the Voldersgracht and continue cycling straight until you reach the junction with the N470 road. Take a right onto the N470 and follow the signs towards Leiden. The distance is around 15 km and will take approximately 40-50 minutes. Once you arrive in Leiden, park your bike at a designated bike parking area. From there, it’s a short 5-minute walk to Hooglandse Kerk at Nieuwstraat 20.
Public Transport
For public transport, from Delft city center, make your way to the Delft train station. You can either walk (about 15 minutes) or take tram line 1 towards 'Delft Tanthof'. Get off at the 'Delft Station' stop. At the train station, catch a train to Leiden. The trains run frequently, and the journey takes about 15-20 minutes. Once you arrive at Leiden station, follow the signs to the bus station and take bus line 43 or 44 towards 'Leiden, Hooglandse Kerk'. After a 5-minute bus ride, get off at 'Leiden, Hooglandse Kerk'. The church is just a short walk from the bus stop.
