Getting There

Walking
If you are in the center of Delft, start at the Markt square. Head east on the Oude Delft street towards the railway station. Once you reach the station, head to the right towards the bus station located right outside. Look for bus line 40 or 44 that goes directly to Rotterdam. Make sure to validate your ticket before boarding. The bus ride takes approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Rotterdam bus station, follow the signs to the metro station and take the metro line D towards De Akkers. Get off at the stop called Blijdorp. From there, it's a short 5-minute walk to the Rotterdam Zoo. Exit the metro station, turn right onto Blijdorplaan, and you will see the zoo entrance ahead.

Bicycle
For an adventurous route, you can rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops in Delft. Start at the Markt square and ride towards the city center, following signs towards Rotterdam. The most direct route is to take the bike path that runs alongside the A13 highway. Follow the bike signs for Rotterdam, and it will take you about 45 minutes to an hour to reach the zoo. Once you arrive in Rotterdam, follow the signs to the Blijdorplaan, and you'll find the zoo entrance.

From Delft, head to the Delft railway station. Take a train towards Rotterdam Central Station. The journey takes about 15-20 minutes. Once you arrive at Rotterdam Central Station, transfer to tram line 7 or 8 towards Hilledijk. Get off at the stop called Blijdorp. The zoo is a short walk from the tram stop. Just follow the signs that indicate the direction to the Rotterdam Zoo, which will be straight ahead on Blijdorplaan.
