If you're driving to Asserbos from the center of Assen, start by heading southeast on the Verbindingsweg towards the N374. Continue on N374 for about 2 kilometers. Take the exit toward N33, and merge onto the N33. After approximately 4 kilometers, take the exit towards Assen. Continue straight onto the Aldiweg, then turn left onto the Asserbos road. The entrance to Asserbos will be on your right. Look for the signs indicating the forest entrance.
Public Transportation
To reach Asserbos by public transportation, start at Assen train station. Take bus line 21 towards 'Zuidlaren' and get off at the 'Asserbos' stop, which is a 15-minute ride. From the bus stop, walk approximately 500 meters southeast along the forest path until you reach the main entrance of Asserbos. Make sure to check the bus schedule in advance as it may vary throughout the day.
