From the city of Assen, take the N33 road heading towards Groningen. After approximately 15 kilometers, take the exit towards N372, following signs for Roden/Westervelde. Continue on N372 for about 8 kilometers until you reach the village of Westervelde. Once in Westervelde, follow local signs towards Norgerholt, which is located within the national forest area. Parking is available nearby, but be aware that some parking areas may charge a small fee.

Start your journey at Assen railway station. Take a train towards Groningen and get off at the Roden station. From Roden, you can catch bus line 21 in the direction of Westervelde. The bus ride will take around 20 minutes. Disembark at the Westervelde stop and follow local signage towards Norgerholt. Expect a short walk of about 1.5 kilometers to reach the destination. Be sure to check the bus schedule as services may vary, especially on weekends.
