    If you are driving, start from your location in the Dutch Coast and head towards the N99 road. Follow the N99 until you reach the exit for Oudeschild. Continue straight on Schansweg until you see signs for Fort De Schans. There is parking available nearby the fort. Please note that parking may incur a fee, so be prepared to pay for parking.

  • Public Transportation

    To reach Fort De Schans using public transportation, take a train to the nearest major station, which is Den Helder. From Den Helder, transfer to bus line 33 towards Oudeschild. Get off at the 'Oudeschild, Schansweg' stop. From there, it is a short walk to Fort De Schans. Be sure to check the bus schedule in advance, as service may be limited on weekends and holidays. Also, keep in mind that a ticket for the train and bus will incur costs.
