Continue on the N9 for about 15 kilometers until you reach Petten aan Zee. Once in Petten, follow the signs to the beach area where you can find parking. Note that parking may incur a fee, which can vary, so be prepared with some cash or a credit card.
Public Transportation
To reach Petten aan Zee by public transport, take a train from Amsterdam Central Station to Alkmaar. The journey takes about 40 minutes. From Alkmaar, transfer to bus line 6, which operates towards Petten. The bus journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Make sure to check the bus schedule in advance, as the frequency may vary. The bus will drop you off near the beach area. There is a small fare for the bus, usually around €3-€5, which can be paid using a contactless bank card or with cash.
