Car
If you are traveling by car, start by getting onto the A10 ring road around Amsterdam. Take exit 14 towards S112 - Centrum and follow the signs for Centrum. Once you reach the city center, follow signs for the Damstraat and then continue to Oude Hoogstraat. Walekerkpoort is located at Oude Hoogstraat 21, 1012 CD Amsterdam. There is limited parking in the area, so be prepared to find a paid parking spot nearby.
Public Transportation
To reach Walekerkpoort by public transportation, take a train to Amsterdam Central Station. From there, you can either walk or take tram line 4, 14, or 24 towards the city center. If you choose to walk, exit the station and head south on Prins Hendrikkade, turn right onto Damstraat, and then continue onto Oude Hoogstraat. Walekerkpoort will be on your left at number 21. A single train ticket from surrounding areas to Amsterdam Central costs approximately €5-€10 depending on distance.
Bicycle
If you prefer to explore Amsterdam by bicycle, you can rent a bike at one of the many rental shops near Central Station. From there, cycle south towards the city center. Follow the cycling paths to reach Oude Hoogstraat, where Walekerkpoort is located. Amsterdam is very bike-friendly, but be aware of traffic and pedestrians. Rental costs are around €10-€15 per day.
