Car
If you're traveling by car, start by navigating to the A1 motorway. From there, take the exit towards Apeldoorn (A50), and follow the signs for Hoenderloo. Once you reach Hoenderloo, look for the signs directing you to Schenkenshul. The nature preserve is located just a short drive from the center of Hoenderloo. There is parking available near the entrance, which may incur a small fee.
Public Transportation
For those using public transport, begin your journey by taking a train to Apeldoorn. From Apeldoorn station, catch bus number 108 towards Hoenderloo. Get off at the 'Hoenderloo, Hotel De Sterrenberg' bus stop. From there, it’s approximately a 15-minute walk to Schenkenshul. Follow the signs towards the nature preserve. Be sure to check the bus schedule ahead of time, as they may vary, especially on weekends.
Walking
If you are already in Hoenderloo and prefer to walk, head towards the center of Hoenderloo, then follow the signs for Schenkenshul. The walking route is well-marked and offers a scenic path through beautiful natural landscapes. It should take you about 30 minutes to reach the preserve on foot.
