Car

If you are driving, start from the center of Gooi. Head southwest on the N201 towards the A1 motorway. Merge onto the A1 motorway in the direction of Amsterdam. Take exit 9 towards Hilversum and merge onto the N201. Follow the N201 until you reach the Lage Vuurscheweg. Continue on Lage Vuurscheweg for approximately 5 km. Smithuyserbos will be on your right. There is parking available near the entrance.
Public Transportation

For public transportation, start at the nearest train station in Gooi. Take a train towards Hilversum. Once at Hilversum station, transfer to bus line 520 towards Lage Vuursche. Get off at the 'Lage Vuurscheweg' stop. From there, it's a short walk down Lage Vuurscheweg for about 15 minutes until you reach Smithuyserbos. Be aware that the bus fare is approximately €3-€4, and train fares may vary depending on your starting point.
Bicycle

If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from various locations in Gooi. Head southwest towards the N201 and follow the bike paths that parallel the road. The path will take you through scenic areas until you reach Lage Vuurscheweg. The ride is about 10 km and should take around 30-40 minutes.
