Getting There

• Train

  From Groningen Central Station, take a train towards Haren. Trains to Haren run frequently, so check the schedule for the next departure. The journey takes about 10 minutes. Once you arrive at Haren station, exit the station and turn left onto the Kerklaan street. Walk straight for approximately 15 minutes until you reach Haren Hortus Botanicus, located at Kerklaan 34.

• Bus

  From the city center of Groningen, head to the bus station at the Grote Markt. Take bus line 8 towards Haren. The bus ride will take around 25 minutes. Get off at the stop 'Haren, Kerklaan'. From the bus stop, walk straight along Kerklaan for about 5 minutes until you arrive at Haren Hortus Botanicus, located at Kerklaan 34.

• Bicycle

  Rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops in Groningen. Follow the bike paths towards Haren, which is approximately a 30-minute ride. Head southeast on the Hoendiepskade, then continue on the bike path that leads to Haren. Once you reach Haren, follow Kerklaan straight until you reach Haren Hortus Botanicus at Kerklaan 34.

• Walking

  If you prefer to walk, start from the city center of Groningen. Head south on the Oosterstraat, continue onto the Hereweg. After about 40 minutes of walking, you will reach Haren. Once in Haren, turn onto Kerklaan and walk for another 10 minutes until you reach Haren Hortus Botanicus at Kerklaan 34.
