Getting There

Walking
If you are starting from Haarlem's main train station (Haarlem Centraal), exit the station and head towards the city center. Walk straight along the Spoorwegstraat, which will lead you to the central square, Grote Markt. Once you reach the Grote Markt, you will see the impressive St. Bavo Cathedral. From there, take the street on the left side of the cathedral, which is the Smedestraat. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with the Gedempte Oude Gracht. Turn right onto Gedempte Oude Gracht and continue walking until you reach the Spaarne River. Cross the bridge over the Spaarne River, and shortly after crossing, you will see the Amsterdamse Poort on your left side.

From Haarlem's main train station (Haarlem Centraal), take bus line 50 towards 'Santpoort Noord'. Get off at the 'Amsterdamse Poort' bus stop, which is directly adjacent to the landmark.
