Continue straight until you reach 'Zijlweg', and then turn left. Walk along 'Zijlweg' until you come to the 'Haarlem Train Station'. Use the NS train service towards Almere, which typically runs every 30 minutes. The journey to Almere takes around 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Almere station, exit the station and head towards the bus terminal. Take bus line 7 towards 'Almere Haven' and get off at 'Almere Haven, Molenweg'. From the bus stop, walk east for about 10 minutes until you reach Fort Ruigenhoek, which will be on your left.

    Biking

    If you prefer biking, rent a bike in Haarlem. Start at the 'Grote Markt' and head southeast on 'Kruisweg'. Then turn left onto 'Zijlweg', and continue cycling until you reach the 'Haarlem Train Station'. Follow the same train route as before, taking the NS train towards Almere.
